Horizon Zero Dawn Coloring Book Releases Later This Month

It will launch on July 19, but you can pre-order it now.

With streaming services and movie studios adapting every video game ever made, or so it feels, there’s never been a better way to enjoy your favorite games in different ways. . There will be a Horizon show added to the pile at some point in the future, but if you’re looking for a different way to celebrate Aloy and her games much earlier, you can do so with this new coloring book.

Officially revealed last week by studio Horizon Guerilla, the official Horizon Zero Dawn Coloring Book will launch next week on July 19. You can pre-order the book now through Amazon in the US and the Forbidden Planet comic book chain in the UK. Preview images can look a bit more cartoonish than games. That’s because it’s based on the Horizon comics. It is also a coloring book.

Until now, the only way to make Zero Dawn your own was to play on PC and apply all sorts of weird and wonderful mods. Now all you have to do is pay $13.49 for a Horizon coloring book. Sure, you can’t turn your enemies into Thomas the Tank (someone must have created that mod in Zero Dawn already, right?), but you can re-imagine Aloy and the rest of her futuristic world from several other ways.

As for the aforementioned Horizon show, there isn’t much to report at this time. Last we heard, the show will be called Horizon 2074, and even that is just information based on a leak. If true, the name will presumably refer to one of two time periods covered during the show, flip-flopping between 50 years and 1,000 years in the future. We also know Netflix is the studio working on it along with Guerilla and PlayStation, and The Boys’ Jack Boem is attached to the project.

The wait for the show will be long and coloring books aren’t for everyone. Fear not, because there are even more ways to enjoy Horizon outside of the two main games. An official Lego set launched earlier this year to celebrate the arrival of Forbidden West, and Call of the Mountain will be a launch title on PSVR2.
