How to remove the background from a photo using the Files app
Note: You need iOS 16 on your iPhone or iPad for this feature. On devices with iOS 15 or earlier, the Files app does not have this feature.
Open the Files app on your iPhone.
Press on Browse at the bottom if you are on another tab.
Navigate to the location where you saved the image. For example, if your image is in the Downloads folder, tap Downloads.
Tap the ellipsis button in the upper right corner.
In the actions menu, tap Select.
Tap any image in the folder to select it. Make sure the image has solid definition of subject, object, and background for best results.
Now tap the ellipsis button in the lower right corner.
Faucet Remove background in the action menu.
That’s it! You have successfully completed all the steps required to remove the background from a selected image.
The new image with no background will appear alongside the original image or as the last image in the folder.
The whole process is completed at a surprisingly fast pace and the result is remarkably good! Even though we chose a fluffy subject to test the feature, it passed with flying colors!
