HOLZMINDEN, GERMANY – Symrise Diana Food, a Holzminden-based Symrise company, plans to expand its transparency and traceability capabilities by entering into an agreement with SMAG Smart Agriculture to develop a custom mobile software application. Diana Food will digitize its global agronomic activities through the app, which will create a digital agro-community made up of the 13 global agronomists of Diana Food and its fruit and vegetable producers.
“Many consumers lack confidence in the food supply,” said Nicolas Gribius, Agronomy Manager EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) for Diana Food. “The use of this digital technology demonstrates how Diana Food is helping its customers solve this problem with very precise and high quality data. “
Diana Food is testing the application in France and Chile before rolling it out globally.
“The integration of this digital solution is an example of how Diana Food is demonstrating leadership in the industry by applying new technologies to agronomy to meet market demands,” said Mr. Gribius. “Our customers consider societal factors such as transparency and traceability to be extremely important. With the Agreo app in place, we plan to mitigate risks and reduce human errors by building a detailed database of our agronomic knowledge.
